The Government Finance Profession organises a conference for Trainee Accountants in July each year. There is also another for Qualified Accountants in November, as well as conferences for Heads of Finance Professionalism/ Senior Professionals that take place three times a year. GFP in Association with Visa Qualifieds' Training Event

Our ever popular Qualifieds' training event will be held on the 11th and 12th of November 2010 in Birmingham. All qualified accountants in central government departments, agencies and arms length bodies are eligible to attend. The theme for this year's event will be 'Strengthening Financial Discipline. Our full programme offers up to 17 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).

Introduction for Accountants in Government

The programme provides essential background on the constitutional and institutional framework in which civil servants operate, and an introduction to the arrangements for planning and controlling public expenditure, including the requirements of government accounting.
